In this second installment of the story, we find the recently awoken vampire lord Matthaeus Von Zarovich and his new concubine, the former archeologist Aubrey Nelson, arriving at one of his ancient hidden strongholds. As they settle into the lair, they receive some surprise visitors.
Meanwhile the Duchess of Windenburg, Kathryn Wellington, still has lingering thoughts about the erotic dream she experienced a few weeks back...
